"What is illustration" -

The brief asked us to illustrate our own opinion of what illustration means. 

I decided to explore the idea of illustration starting off as something very personal and then eventually being something that can become mass produced. As soon as a sketch is scanned and becomes digital it loses some orginatlity it no longer can be or has to be a one offprint. 

I read the essay by Benjamin Walters about art movement and I found this essay very influential.
